Christmas poetry or so

Grinch de România

Grinchul original s-a pensionat

A luat tutunul…

A simțit că și-a făcut datoria

english advanced class – short story example

Pasa Sarah, a 11a A

I saw her and she stared at me. I couldn’t believe my eyes, i’m sure it was her. But how?
It all started with me wanting a pet badly, and I found this really interesting looking cat. She had this aura, she gave me such a feeling, i wanted her!
I had to talk to my dad to get her, but that wasn’t hard, he’s a really amenable person. The thing is he’s also a very frugal man and a cat requires a lot of things. I eventually got her, but things went south very fast, of course I wasn’t going to go all dictatorial on her, but a bit more obedience wouldn’t hurt.
She was a really anomalous pet, you would often find her facing the wall and making weird sounds or banging her head as if a real person was trying to get out, but was stuck in a cats body.
After four years of having her, she was attacked by a pack of dogs in our backyard and sadly died. Voraciously speaking I was a bit relieved. However, I would still feel uneasy from time to time and the strangest thing is that once a year I see her standing on our fence looking at me so intensely, but this time she no longer has those big cute eyes anymore. She looks almost evil. The most frightening thing is that i’m the only one that ever sow her.

Flower

Alex Jibleanu, clasa a 11a B

Shining in your way,not trying
Seeing you,my heart again lying,
Petals waving,blazing motion,
It took one look,strong emotion,
Watching the flower, dance in the field,
Smiling,my ticker newly healed,
Distracting me from my own pain,
Its innocents,sneaking in my vein,
Time passes,seeing that flower more,
Getting my beats faster, hitting my core,
Eyes fuzzy,walking strange,out of line,
Feeling energized,the clock only nine,
Murmuring while talking,smiling dumb,
Cheeks hurting,they feeling numb,
Going in circles to get to see its petals,
Complex,more expensive than any metal,
In my bed, watching stars falling from their height,
Thinking again about that fiery sight.

Gând de primăvară

Ania Ziemba, a 11a B

A început cu un fulg,

Primul mort și învechitul,

Când, de sub nouă zăpezi,

Am simțit întâi sfârșitul.

Liniște: o claritate,

Din entropie și proporții;

Din dulcea amorțeală

S-au găsit să-nvie morții.

Un mucegai între iubiți,

Acel mutant crescut din mine,

Care-a înviat boala simțirii

Printre buze moi și fine.

Iar, în ironia vieții,

Când era totul murit,

S-a trezit tot Universul

Azvârlindu-mă-n pripit.

Și în toiul primăverii,

Libertatea mi-e furată:

Căci ceva trebuia să moară

Ca să-nvie lumea toată.

As I made my way through the horde of what appeared to be my own sort of army, I saw a door. I was holding the girl’s hand tightly while she was following me towards the door. We exited through the door and couldn’t believe what we saw.

We were in a completely different city. It was so full of people that it felt relieving. It felt safe. We saw a big, tall building, with the word “hotel” written on it.

I told the girl: “don’t worry, it’s gonna be alright from now on!”

She then continued to thank me for saving her from that wretched place.

We got to the building and talked to the receptionist.

I asked: “Would you happen to be able to give us a room for one night? We have no money.

The receptionist waited and thought about it for a moment. Then he said: “all right. Just this one time, I shall allow it.”

I thought the way he spoke was weird, but it went over my head as I was already way too scared by what I had just seen. We got into the room and each went to our own bed.

I asked her what her name was.

“Tiffany” she responded. “How about you? What’s your name?”

“Me?” I asked surprised “oh, I’m a no-one. My name doesn’t matter. What matters is that we’re safe.

We fell asleep in a matter of minutes and finally rested after so much torture.

When I woke up Tiffany wasn’t already up. The room seemed different. I thought it was only the fact that I could see it in light.

I looked out the window and realized we were, once again, in a different city. Somewhere in the countryside. I got downstairs and I saw an old couple.

They were having breakfast. They said “good morning!”

I responded “good morning.” In a confused voice.

They said “Don’t be shy, you aren’t the first ones here! We are familiar with the chosen ones!”

“The chosen ones?” I asked.

“Yes!” the old man responded. “Many have come before you in these exact circumstances. We decided to call you the chosen ones!” the old man said.

“But why?” I asked.

It seems that not all those who think they have the ” absolute power” can be so powerful. In the end, your feelings are the only thing that matters. Above all, I am just a man, and this is my fate … I do not have to ruin this miraculous balance of life.

The girl on the table was frightened, she gasped for air, and screamed “What did you do, how did you release me from this eternal terror that I was experiencing?” I lowered my hood, I threw away the scythe, I took the robe and covered the fragile body of the girl. I told her gently: “I remember who I am, who we are, and what we will be! Nobody is allowed to kill just because their life is boring. It’s all right, we’ll get out of here, I promise. I do not know who you are, or why we are here, but we’ll get out of this terrible chaos. We do not deserve this! “

The girl nodded. She understood the situation we were in, but she also understood how she got here: “I know what’s going on! Because we met, back in Yorkshire! No, or yes … I do not know, I’m completely surprised. It was at the theatre; we went to the theatre that night! And I hit you. You were looking for your tickets, and I accidentally hit your leather bag. The strange thing is that I cannot remember anything that first interaction. “. I noticed that the girl was as confused as I was about the situation, we were in. At that moment, I stood up, I took a last look at the magician’s body. I took the scythe and lifted the girl from the cold stone table. I whispered courageously: “It’s time to our demon.” When I approached the door and cracked it open, a big roar started: “Hail to you Reaper!”. Then I opened the door with power, raising the scythe in my hand, and said loud and clear:  “No one has the right to look at your new master!”

In a second, the crowd faced away. Everyone was silent, and the fear was settling among them. I looked at her, I whispered, “Now it’s our chance!”

~The Great Tree~

Alex Jibleanu, a 11a B

Once, there was a great tree outside near a deserted forest,

A little deer passing by, hopping as it’s the only true tourist,

The tree smiling, as he isn’t alone anymore, having company,

Watching his little fellow eat, and play with a little yellow bumblebee,

Weather gets harder, as the little deer hasn’t somewhere to stay,

Our good tree’s branches making an umbrella, so she could lay,

The two of them started getting closer, as the tree made a house for her,

Showed where food is, and kept her warm at night when it wasn’t for her fur,

Times were getting harder to live in, winter being near to hit the holt,

The deer feeling colder and colder, as she ran to the tree in a bolt,

The tree stood there, knowing she had to leave so she would stay alive,

Having brought the thought of loneliness, knowing he is deprived,

The only way for her to survive, is to leave the forest and find another,

The deer getting angry, jumped near the tree and made a little hole,

She needed a shelter, or a fire to keep warm, the tree being her coal,

His branches enlarged as far as he could, to keep the snow away,

Everything around her was white and grey, show covering its way,

After a day or two, the snow started melting around the two,

Flowers growing everywhere, the sun shines everywhere, something new,

The deer’s eyes looked at the tree, it being frozen and dried,

Tears run down its face as it knew it saved its little life, it has died,

But one this remained on the big old trees face, a big smile of its trunk,

Seeing its smile, the little deer’s courage and determination began to spunk,

They love shall be kept always in the image of the old tree inclined,

As it will be kept alive by the little deer, keeping the old trees kind.

Cădere liberă

Ana Licu, a 9a A

Fum mușcător, vaiet și zbucium,

Urcând tot mai sus, tot mai sus,

Și gândul pe trepte sparte dus,

Rămâne doar privirea bucolică a îngerului.

PART 1

PART 2

Once we have entered the designated room, the magician followed me closely. I turned off with curiosity: „ May I be allowed to assist in the Resurrection process? “. After these words were addressed, the magician turned and said phlegmatically: “Do you think that just because you have power over life and death you mean something to me? I created you! “. I was hit with an existential crisis… I was just curious why it happened to me. At last, I was allowed to stay in the room, but without having received explicit permission … as if the magician saw through the confusion inside my soul.

I do not remember how it all started, but I knew for sure that I had witnessed something unique. I cannot explain my feeling, this eternal emptiness inside me as If my soul was falling into a bottomless pit. It was as if I had found out too early the hidden mystery of immortality. When I woke up from the shock, I saw her … It was on the table, the lines traced on her fragile body were impregnated in her skin. The Resurrection ritual was about to start, but it hit me.  I knew her or at least I thought so. I remember vaguely that she said to me a few words when she hit my leather bag, back in Yorkshire: “Excuse My Clumsiness!” I answered in a hurry: “I don’t feel like any of this is real. People around me are like animals.  Are you aware of this?” She looked at me terrified as if I was crazy. She tried to answer me, but it was too late because I have turned away…

I felt rage flowing through my veins and out every single one of my pores. The magician was in his world, he was talking to himself, chanting something and the girl was struggling, her legs were shaking and the face of the girl expressed agony and fear. I took a step forward, and said, “I command you to stop, I shouted, I will not talk again!”. The magician looked and said enraged: “How do you, a mortal scum, who just had his first sip of magic power, dare talk to me. If you want to live the rest of your sad life, with no powers and magic, go on, try to save her!  ” Approaching to his neck with the scythe, I said, “instead of killing innocent people, in the name of a false justice, I’ d rather spend the rest of my days without powers! “Without giving a second thought, I allowed my powers to take control over my hands, and in the blink of an eye, the Magicians head was rolling on the floor.

Doar o mare exacerbare
