Cum ne scot profesorii din monotonia orarului? Mai jos veți găsi activități, evenimente și proiecte ale elevilor LLIA: cine sunt adulții de mâine și cu ce se ocupă ei azi?
Ultimile 2 saptamani au fost foarte aglomerate deoarece elevii gimnaziului au dat teze la romana,engleza si matematica , iar elevii claselor a 2-a , a 4-a si a 6-a au dat evaluarile nationale la romana si engleza , dar si la stiinte , ultima fiind chiar azi. Un alt eveniment important sunt testele Cambridge pentru nivelele Starters , Movers si Flyers care au avut loc astazi de dimineata.
In concluzie,de azi incolo vom fi mai relaxati si ne vom concentra asupra incheierii mediilor si pregatirii serbarilor. In scurt timp vom afisa si rezultatele copiilor la evaluari si teste, urati-le succes!
Joia trecuta elevii clasei a 6-a au participat la o activitate de voluntariat organizata de Departamentul CCO al ORANGE ROMANIA in cladirea de birouri Orange. Acolo , elevii au pregatit mai multe sortimente de sandwichuri si alte preperate delicioase si le-au vandut angajatilor . Astfel, s-au strans 11.360 RON care au fost donati in scop caritabil , in mod echitabil celor 4 cazuri pt care s-a organizat evenimentul. Astfel, pentru familia Grigore , a revenit suma de 2.840 RON.
Copiii au fost foarte mandri de realizarea lor si au fost extrem de incantati de aceasta activitate , dorind sa participe si anul viitor! Profesorii au fost si ei mandri de elevii lor si le-au promis ca de anul viitor vor participa la cat mai multe activitati de voluntariat!
In order to understand what the universe is, we need to know a bit about Quantum Physics and its last discoveries.
We learned that elementary particles like quarks and electrons are the foundation upon which all matter in the universe is built. We know how these particles interact but we didn’t know how they were getting their mass.
The experts believe the Higgs boson gives the particles mass and fills in one of the key holes in modern physics.

The 2013 Physics Nobel Prize has been awarded to two physicists (François Englert -Universite Libre de Bruxelles- and Peter Higgs -University of Edinburgh) who developed the theory that helps explain the origin of mass of elementary particles :
and predicts the existence of the Higgs Boson ( so called ” God particle” -It’s nothing to do with religion — the only similarity is you’re seeing something that’s a field that’s everywhere, in all spaces.).

Va prezentam noul nostru proiect: “Rromii”. La acest proiect iau parte 6 elevi ai gimnaziului: Alexia, Lia si Stefan N.(clasa a 6-a) si Maria Gr.,Eli si Vladimir(clasa a 7-a), coordonati de doamna Sevil Lazarescu.
In cadrul acestui proiect trebuie sa prezentam cultura si civilizatia rromilor, un moment artistic traditional si unul gastronomic. Planul prezentarii trebuie trimis pentru a fi aprobat, iar a doua etapa se va desfasura undeva langa Cluj unde vom asista si la prezentarile celorlalti despre diverse tari si comunitati europene si unde se va alege castigatorul.
Plecarea la Cluj se va desfasura intre 26-30 iunie.Urati-ne succes!

The Planetary Society will launch a test flight of LightSail on May 20, in preparation for its primary solar sailing mission in 2016.
The Planetary Society is a non – governmental Organization for democratic space exploration and its president is our “friend” you know from Science classes : Bill Nye -The Science Guy (see our first posts at Science category)
<Nye launched a Kickstarter campaign to raise funds needed for the Planetary Society’s LightSail project, which aims to make the long sought after idea of solar sailing a reality. More than $4 million had already been “raised by our 40,000 plus members around the world who just think it’s cool,” Nye says. These are scientists, enthusiasts and advocates “who just want to participate in space exploration, and who want to advance space science and exploration so that we’ll all learn more about the cosmos and what I like to call our place within it, our place in space.”>
Gaia: “… an ambitious mission to chart a three-dimensional map of our Galaxy, the Milky Way, in the process revealing the composition, formation and evolution of the Galaxy. Gaia will provide unprecedented positional and radial velocity measurements..”

Dupa cum v- am obisnuit, mereu entuzismati de a realiza noi proiecte, suntem foarte mandri sa va prezentam noul nostru proiect COSMOLOGIA. Acest proiect coordonat de D-L Marcel Bartic si D-l Alin Vartic, ne familiarizeaza cu o stiinta foarte interesanta: astronomia.
Echipa care a lucrat in cadrul acestui proiect este formata din 6 elevi de la gimnaziu: Tudor Dima si Tudor Vartic (clasa a 5-a); Alexia Icodin si Yasmin Petrosanu (clasa a 6-a); Eli Albut si Stefan Staicu (clasa a 7-a). Cei 6 elevi au realizat proiecte in powerpoint despre 6 teme diferite: Big Bang , Nicolaus Copernicus , misiunile spatiale Herschel , Corot , Planck si Gaia.
Una dintre incaperile de la parter a fost transformata intr-un mic colt rupt din univers: peretii si tavanul au fost imbracati cu panze negre pe care au fost reprezentate galaxii , comete , gauri negre si planete pictate cu graffiti de catre toti cei 20 de elevi ai gimnaziului , proiectele realizate de cei 6 au fost afisate, iar 3 machete spectaculoase au fost realizate de catre elevii coordonati de D-na Maria Vasiliu; ele ne permit o viziune mai clara , in 3D , a misiunilor spatiale Herschel , Corot si Gaia.

Expozitia este gata de a fi vizitata incepand de pe data de 5 mai de catre parintii ,elevii si profesorii din scoala Little London. Ea sta la dispozitia presei ,televiziunii ,dar si oricaror altor doritori din afara scolii , timp de 6 saptamani. La acest proiect s-a muncit cu drag si spor timp de 1 luna de elevii gimnaziului alaturi de ceilalti profesorii. Extremi de importanta este contribuita doamnelor profesoare Maria Vasiliu si Sevil Lazarescu carora le multumim din suflet .
Le multumim si organizatorilor care ne-au oferit oportunitatea de a participa si de a ne manifesta creativitatea. Suntem in competitie cu alte aproape 100 de scoli din toata tara , iar premiul cel mare consta intr-un laborator de informatica echipat cu 16 calculatoare , asa ca urati-ne succes!.
Toti elevii au fost entuziasmati sa ia parte la acest proiect si au fost fericiti ca au putut sa afle cat mai multe lucruri despre Sistemul Solar si corpurile ceresti. Acest proiect a fost si un bun exercitiu de a lucra in echipa si de a comunica mai bine , incorporand ideile tuturor. Suntem foarte mandri de ce am realizat si asteptam impresiile dumneavoastra!
