Best salad for people who don’t like salad

Quinoa, fetas & Broad Bean Salad!!!!

ingredients:

  1. 3 corn cobs
  2. extra virgin olive oil
  3. one red onion chopped
  4. one bunch of coriander
  5. two teaspoons
  6. 2-3 red chili and chopped
  7. two cloves of garlic chopped
  8. 300 g fresh broad beans
  9. 220 g quinoa
  10. 3 limes
  11. 200 g feta
  12. hot chilli sauce , to season (optional)

A) With a large knife, slice the corn kernels off the cobs. Transfer to a blender with 125ml of water and blitz to a loose paste.

B) Pour a glug of oil into a medium pan and fry the onion and coriander  over a low-medium heat for 10–15 minutes until softened. Add the cumin, chillies and garlic and fry for 1–2 minutes. Add the blitzed corn to the pan and cook it for 5–10 minutes, until just simmering but not coloured. Season well, spoon the mixture into a bowl and set aside to cool.

C) Blanch the beans in boiling water for a couple of minutes. Drain, rinse under cold water and set aside to cool. If you like, remove the grey outer skins and discard.

D) Cook the quinoa according to packet instructions then, while it’s still hot, drizzle with extra virgin olive oil, squeeze over the juice from the limes and add the zest. Add the broad beans, toss well and leave to cool. Once cooled, chop the coriander leaves and stir through, along with the corn mixture. Spread the salad over a plate and leave to one side.

E) Put the whole block of feta, brine and all, into a small non-stick frying pan. Drizzle with olive oil and add a splash of chilli sauce, if you like. Bring to the boil, then cook over a high heat until the feta is lightly golden. Gently turn over and cook for a few more minutes on the other side. Break up the feta with a fork, add to the salad, drizzle over any leftover dressing from the pan

Legenda lui Moş Nicolae. S-a născut în Asia Mică Potrivit legende:

Moş Nicolae este protectorul copiilor, scrie Parinti.com. Sfântul Nicolae s-a născut în anul 270 în cetatea Patara din Asia Mică (în prezent Turcia), iar numele lui înseamnă, în limba greacă, „biruitor de popoare”. A locuit în oraşul Myra, unde a fost episcop. Oraşul este situat tot în Asia Mica, pe actualul teritoriu al Turciei. După ce părinţii săi au murit, Nicolae şi-a împărţit averea săracilor, iar apoi a plecat la Ierusalim ca prelat. În anul 325 el a fost unul dintre episcopii care au luat parte la Primul Conciliu de la Niceea, la chemarea împăratului Constantin.

Legenda lui Moş Nicolae. Care sunt faptele lui?

Sunt multe legende care vorbesc despre faptele lui Nicolae după ce acesta a ajuns preot. Potrivit unei legende, el ar fi ajutat trei fete sărace să se mărite. El e lăsate câte un săculeţ plin cu aur la poarta casei lor, astfel încât fiecare fată să aibă o zestre şi să se poată mărita. Când a venit rândul ultimei fete, tatăl ei a vrut să vadă cine le aducea săculeţele cu aur şi a stat pe pază într-o noapte. Atunci, Nicolae a lăsat săculeţul pe hornul casei, într-o şosetă care era pusă la uscat şi astfel a apărut tradiţia cadourilor puse în pantofi. Cei trei săculeţi cu aur au devenit simbolul Sfântului Nicolae, sub forma a trei bile de aur. Nicolae a venit şi în ajutorul marinarilor şi călătorilor. O altă legendă spune că într-o zi el se întorcea acasă pe mare, venind de la Ierusalim. S-a pornit o furtună puternică, iar Nicolae s-a rugat la Dumnezeu şi atunci furtuna s-a oprit brusc. Marinarii aflaţi pe corabie au considerat aceasta o minune, iar de atunci Sfântul Nicolae este şi protectorul marinarilor şi călătorilor. Osemintele Sfântului Nicolae se află într-o criptă din Bari, Italia, unde a fost îngropat după moartea sa, în anul 343.
