What we created: The Spatial Missions for the Cosmology National Competition

We chose to realize  3 spatial observatories :

Gaia: “… an ambitious mission to chart a three-dimensional map of our Galaxy, the Milky Way, in the process revealing the composition, formation and evolution of the Galaxy. Gaia will provide unprecedented positional and radial velocity measurements..”

Herschel: “…The European Space Agency’s Herschel Space Observatory (formerly called Far Infrared and Sub-millimetre Telescope or FIRST) has the largest single mirror ever built for a space telescope. At 3.5-metres in diameter the mirror will collect long-wavelength radiation from some of the coldest and most distant objects in the Universe….”   more information

Corot: “…CoRoT (Convection, Rotation and planetary Transits) is the first space mission dedicated to planetary research and designed for this purpose….”
